This one of the fun things i like about photoshop. You can do whatever you want to manipulate your images. One of them are turn your image in Color + Black & White.
Here's How to do it.
Open you adobe Photoshop. (in this tutorial i used cs3 version)
Go to File > Open (Open Box Appear and choose the image you want to manipulate and then click Open)
Now you can see your image appear on the photoshop screen. You have to duplicate your image into layer so that your original image won't get spoil if you make mistake. Now go to Layer > Duplicate Layer...
Click OK when the Duplicate Layer box appear and Background copy of the image will appear on the right side Layer Panel.
And now here's the fun part to do. Click the Background copy once at the right side panel. Just to make sure that you're in the right layer to manipulate the image.
Click the Quick Mask Mode on the left side toolbox.
Choose the Brush Tool and use it to protect the area of your image that you wish to remain in color. The mask of your image will be in red color.
Use Eraser Tool if you overmask the area of the image.
Click the Quick Mask Mode again. You can see the line surround on the image that you wish to remain in color.
Now go to Image > Adjustment > Desaturate.
The result of the image as hown as below.
It's not done yet. go to File > Save as (save as box will appear and choose JPEG format) and Save it into the folder on your hard disk.
That's it........
*This is one of the method i used to manipulated this image. I find this method is easy for me to apply and i hope you enjoy it. Drop me a message if you find problems to follow this tutorials.
